“Driven by curiosity” was this year’s Formula Student motto!
As a motorsport expert, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be there live at Formula Student Austria and Germany this year. Formula Student is an international design competition in which students have to design and manufacture a formula racing car in teamwork. At the events, the teams present their respective self-designed racing cars and compare them with the competing teams in various disciplines. On July 24 and 25, we were at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg to meet the Formula Student teams and see what technical refinements they have come up with. From August 15 to 20, the Germany event took place at the Hockenheimring. Together with our parent company, IAV GmbH, we were represented here with a joint booth and were amazed at the great work and the diverse ideas of the teams. Even with outside temperatures of over 32 degrees, they kept their concentration and fighting spirit. We congratulate the winning teams from Karlsruhe, Aachen and Göteborg for their great performance and thank them for the interesting discussions and the successful event! We look forward to next year.
