How does careful installation contribute to vehicle safety?

If the brake line is laid incorrectly, friction, kinking, or even breakage can occur, which in the worst case can lead to brake failure. To avoid this, we create the corresponding component for prototypes in CAD, including the necessary fastenings. For vehicles that have already been built, we scan the installation space with our 3D measuring arm or use our customer’s data. The component is designed and calculated in kinematics. Various parameters and boundary conditions must be taken into account to ensure that the brake hose is not overstretched, kinked, or damaged by adjacent components during operation. The hose must not twist during movement, so we determine a suitable transfer point from the flexible brake line to the hardline. This minimizes the risk of leaks and other problems. After successful configuration, the new flexible hose is manufactured and the hardlines are produced to fit precisely and reproducibly on a CNC bending machine. In this way, we can deliver complete sets as plug-and-play solutions for prototype construction.

The routing of the brake line contributes significantly to the safety and reliability of the vehicle and should not be neglected. At |TRE|, our customers benefit from flexibility, years of experience, and comprehensive service. We scan the vehicle on site, route and modify it to create custom-fit kits and deliver them to the customer.
